Following The love (A love Story Unfolds)

To know you is to breathe
dedicated to both mother and Daughter.

www.breshacoffee.com/SkinnyGuy

To breathe is to know you

To breathe is know you, the inside and out,
To give of me, the deepest part of my love!
To kiss and saver your flavor a sweet blessing, a gift from above;
An enchantment that only the wise can see, and appreciate this dream before me that somehow came true!
That is to breathe,
To breathe is to peruse life then stop at you,
And exhale for the first time;
That! my dear is to breathe!
To breathe is not just expiring air from day to day,
But to feel the urge to give till all of me is exhausted,
Then my mind says I can give more, so hold me,
Then I may give the rest of my life away.

To breathe is not just the act respiration but the out of body experience,
That I get when I am with you.
The dream fulfilled, that in all consciousness I had never known it would be you?
To reap a harvest I never planted, to now live a life I had never planned for,
To see through windows and touch real manifestations of my future that has not yet come.
To breathe is you, and to know you, and to have you and on and on;
To breathe is to bring to life the dormant faction of life and having them harmoniously dance before me but you setting the tone;
You bring these things into my mind’s eye as to complete me,
You set me in worlds that make me cry, laugh and the emotions makes me ask why?
You still my heart to feed on such compassion that I am playable to love in every way that love can twist,
To breathe is to know you, in the simplest term.

Hope our magic dust

To hope- meaning words like expect, anticipate, wish, optimism or anticipation.               These are some of the strongest words that I had found that puts the word hope in a place, which says I look forward to a particular outcome (I look forward to) the year is almost over and the sun of today will have set in the west and the dawning of a New Day or Year will take yesteryear’s place. Hopefully for all of us, we will be moving into some new experiences, finding new challenges and conquering some new battles which life will put before us and we will be having great success doing just that; I want to put a large prayer into the environment.                        I would like to charge the air positively to set the tone for great success, in love and in loving, in future ventures of business and in good wholesome relationships no matter what they are in Business, in personal relationship, or even casual ones too.    Please be guided by the divine power of God, take good guidance wholesome wisdom and make it your own, use it in your lives; I pray that you will make good assessment and even better prognosis so that when you stretch your arms out to grasp your future it is with good assurance that it will fit your desired intention.

It is my hope to employ faith in God to fulfill my needs for this coming year that He would have me be successful in my truest endeavors that come from my heart, I hope to grow in love, prosper in my faith and help to be more responsible in my actions towards my fellowmen, and I hope to be able to handle more in finances, more trust as people see me trustworthy and have confidence in the man I desire to become.     In true faith I know that this to be the truth and it will be not just because I say so but because the air I now release into the atmosphere is positively charged in the name of Jesus Christ and through him God’s mighty power is released.

With these words I now know if you all come in agreement in a mighty positive way we all will see things in our lives that will pass all human understanding.    For today we are blessed.  And the whole world said “Amen”!

Showing true empathy, a different point of view

Art work By Leanne M Gardner

www.leannemgardner.com

Empathy (Showing it may be more difficult)

I read a piece tonight How to Be Truly Empathetic
www.huffingtonpost.com and thought I would look into it further,  I thought it had the best of intentions, to express to others something that he became sensitive to, and possibly learned a valuable lesson and he wanted to share that lesson, So I read his piece.    I found that in writing your own expression is not enough, it should have good foundation and actually have more to it than just your own thought (it should be given some sort of investigating, to have a well rounded taste for all to share and show a deep responsibility to the reader)  don't get me wrong he did think about his reader but I felt there could have been more for better clarity.
Not to be too judgmental and harshly tare his piece down or apart, but I would like to add to it some insight of my own.     The word empathy similarly means – to show compassion, or sympathy, or even just show understanding.      We can use those words to start to internalize the meaning and show empathy but the act is simple and can be of two parts, 1) we should start with just listening why? Because that is just what we will always start with, but do just that and nothing else “Listen”!    I believe that the meaning of a word should be the foundation of any explanation about it, and that gives us some Idea how to express it.  This gives the truth and value to that particular word.    So I emphasize just listening to the person, hear what they say and show some understanding, Just listen, nothing else; not even offer a solution which is what we think is the core of expressing empathy, Stop! Just listen.             Now part 2) If part one goes well and you have really earned it the person would naturally invite you to give you advice, and then ask what do you think I should do? So recap “Listen” then wait to be invited.   After you are invited to give you input the person will see you showed them some understanding and fully expressed empathy.      I believe that the word that brings us to a easy understanding of empathy is to listen or in-other words understand what it is I am saying please I really need you to ( they can to you then already they have placed trust in you and may just want to be heard) they will invite you in to help.
I wrote this piece to help mister Huffington’s post not to tare it down, I think we as writers sometimes get the emotion of a piece, and forget all of our responsibility to our reader and not investigate to be able to give our work an none-bios point of view.  Or just give a little more for clarity sake and remember that can be very hard to do.

In Search Of Life

Art Work Done by Leanne M Gardner

  In search of life

The topic does not really do justice to the body of this piece, and I say that because it is the hope of every man to live, and live well.                  I believe that we all try to find the path that will ultimately give us or lead us to true happiness; some may say that that thought is an illusion something made up and just does not exist.       The truth is it does exist and it is real but what do you consider to be happiness?           For each of us that reality is so different, so can I sum it up in this piece alone? The answer maybe confusing and long but I will try to be brief.

True happiness comes in a few parts, in order to understand what it is I am saying please hear me out.            A man cannot be more than what he believes, and if that is so, then his foundation will be the basis by which he starts to build his entire life on (meaning that what he is given as right or wrong is his start and from there he or she begins to fill in the blanks). We sometimes abandon the very things we were given at childhood and go on a hunt for new ones, then with a quickness off we go to find out just who we are and we make some of the most horrifying mistakes in history, ones that should be placed in the Guinness Book of World Records (Real stupid one that make absolutely no sense at all).      We then arrive to a place where the search to happiness is on, then the second part of this quest can be the most fatal, if we don’t first have an open mind but I warn you not too open there are traps and snares (that is life and I promise you that you will fall for these tricks of life).            Or this can lead us down the rabbit hole and getting out of that can lead us to have broken dreams and become delusional, sad and a disappointment to everyone we want to impress, the first is ourselves.

Happiness comes when you are pliable to live with a joyous attitude and an optimistic outlook on life, it does not come in a bottle or in someone else but when you find contentment with the mistakes you have made, knowing that you are not going to make them again and putting your efforts to leaving the old and reaching out for the new.    We tend to spend too much time waddling in sorrow and disappointment and shame of failures we made if you live after making a mistake then you have the great opportunity to win.      Please reach out for your happiness by always moving forward, having an open mind to new things and sometimes old things that have been proven to work. Don’t spend your time trifling things, stay on course to attain Happiness by making good bonds with people who see you in good light, and are interested in lifting you up and want to see you succeed in you endeavors, they are the ones who have your interest at heart and will make this life bearable; that my friend is true happiness and if you have another Idea please let me know because I do have an open mind and I do live optimistically and have no intention to settle.

Live long and prosper. J

I would not make a poem or write a piece that justifies the weighing of a man's person against a woman's, the differences are clear and should not be compared against one another.      It is an emoral and wrong thing to do, in fact that should not even be given notice; it should be snuffed out and killed at first sight it should not be given air to breath and multiply in the minds of good people.
We should be very responsable enough to make the distingtion of diference, but not comparison,  each sex should stand tall on its own while we state the living virtures within them and not popetuate war between them.     So I now stand and give an account of the raw potential and beauty and rights of the woman.     The one half of that pair that make it even posible to guide the youth of this nation and the youth of many others people nations around the world.       The woman is part of the team that was made to nuture children to find their way and fulfill the potential inside of them and become the leaders of tomorrow.

Do not assume prehistoric postures or the labels that have been thrust on you for so many years,
Your souls were not made for that, to bear that shame!
Such ignorance was not meant for you! But it was cast your way through jealousy;
But why?
You are pure beauty, you should stand strong, your mothers are made from the richness of this earth, they are daughters of kings in their own right and have given you a true sense of equilibrium,
They gave you a sweet balance of culture not to be squandered, and passion and heart.

Whisper in the ears of your sons and daughters; place this gene carefully in their instruments; so that within each society they may be seen as great contributors,
Your children are the seeds of great and your daughters harness the breath of your ancestry within their wombs.
And your daughter’s breast, will feed life to nations, and touch this world in many ways, with gentle compassion, innovation, with literature that touches the heart and humanitarian efforts that heal lives and bring peace and so much more;
“Woman” do not let the ugliness of this world tarnish your brilliance or make a mockery of the richness within you!
You are not the absence of color you define what it is, and have placed your name on it in many colors and shades,
Be now defined, but not in teaching mediocrity but the fullness of who you really are, queens to be lifted up and placed on the shoulders of Good men,
Not an enigma but a living fact! that should be placed on the lips of mankind and in their hearts.

You are a precious star on earth, placed hear because spiritually, you desired to be here, and God made it possible!
And men should be aware that your power has no end, but you use it with purpose and with responsibility, never to abuse.
I applaud you because I see your potential and know who you are, I am your sons and daughters, I am in love with you; the real “You”!
And I will always be bound to you, I feed richly from your bosoms, (your heart’s lair) so feed me well woman (wisdom).

Battling High Blood Pressure (one man's journey) Part # 4

Remember your goal and shoot for it.

I would like to point out; that when taking your journey to proper health, you have to make radical decisions based on you and how you think it will affect you and how it will play out in your life not anyone else’s, just yours! (Meaning that taking this step in your life, is your life change and even though it may affect others,  Are you ready for it and it is necessary to have people who are going to be supportive to your cause). Some really important questions are who can I trust to help you fulfill your journey quest to good health? And can you find a reliable source for good solid information on diet and exercise?  So now that is said please step up to the plate and take your swing.   It is extremely helpful to find a partner for this journey (best person to get would be someone inside of your house-hold, and if not them someone who is facing the same thing as you) If they are facing the same thing as you both already have a bond and you will find that the desire to see each other through will be the aspect that binds you both together.           Off you go – Now here are some foods that will help to lower your Cholesterol level.            Be very careful as always, safety should be first and last.

Cholesterol: Top 5 foods to lower your numbers
Diet can play an important role in lowering your cholesterol. Here are five foods that can lower your cholesterol and protect your heart.
Can a bowl of oatmeal help lower your cholesterol? How about a handful of walnuts or even a baked potato topped with some heart-healthy margarine? A few simple tweaks to your diet — like these — may be enough to lower your cholesterol to a healthy level and help you stay off medications.
1. Oatmeal, oat bran and high-fiber foods
Oatmeal contains soluble fiber, which reduces your low-density lipoprotein (LDL), the "bad" cholesterol. Soluble fiber is also found in such foods as kidney beans, apples, pears, barley and prunes.
Soluble fiber can reduce the absorption of cholesterol into your bloodstream. Five to 10 grams or more of soluble fiber a day decreases your total and LDL cholesterol. Eating 1 1/2 cups of cooked oatmeal provides 6 grams of fiber. If you add fruit, such as bananas, you'll add about 4 more grams of fiber. To mix it up a little, try steel-cut oatmeal or cold cereal made with oatmeal or oat bran.
2. Fish and omega-3 fatty acids
Eating fatty fish can be heart-healthy because of its high levels of omega-3 fatty acids, which can reduce your blood pressure and risk of developing blood clots. In people who have already had heart attacks, fish oil — or omega-3 fatty acids — reduces the risk of sudden death.
Doctors recommend eating at least two servings of fish a week. The highest levels of omega-3 fatty acids are in:
·                                 Mackerel
·                                 Lake trout
·                                 Herring
·                                 Sardines
·                                 Albacore tuna
·                                 Salmon
·                                 Halibut
You should bake or grill the fish to avoid adding unhealthy fats. If you don't like fish, you can also get small amounts of omega-3 fatty acids from foods like ground flaxseed or canola oil.
You can take an omega-3 or fish oil supplement to get some of the benefits, but you won't get other nutrients in fish, like selenium. If you decide to take a supplement, just remember to watch your diet and eat lean meat or vegetables in place of fish.
3. Walnuts, almonds and other nuts
Walnuts, almonds and other nuts can reduce blood cholesterol. Rich in polyunsaturated fatty acids, walnuts also help keep blood vessels healthy.
According to the Food and Drug Administration, eating about a handful (1.5 ounces, or 42.5 grams) a day of most nuts, such as almonds, hazelnuts, peanuts, pecans, some pine nuts, pistachio nuts and walnuts, may reduce your risk of heart disease. Just make sure the nuts you eat aren't salted or coated with sugar.
All nuts are high in calories, so a handful will do. To avoid eating too many nuts and gaining weight, replace foods high in saturated fat with nuts. For example, instead of using cheese, meat or croutons in your salad, add a handful of walnuts or almonds.
Cholesterol: Top 5 foods to lower your numbers
4. Olive oil
Olive oil contains a potent mix of antioxidants that can lower your "bad" (LDL) cholesterol but leave your "good" (HDL) cholesterol untouched.
The Food and Drug Administration recommends using about 2 tablespoons (23 grams) of olive oil a day in place of other fats in your diet to get its heart-healthy benefits. To add olive oil to your diet, you can saute vegetables in it, add it to a marinade, or mix it with vinegar as a salad dressing. You can also use olive oil as a substitute for butter when basting meat or as a dip for bread. Olive oil is high in calories, so don't eat more than the recommended amount.
The cholesterol-lowering effects of olive oil are even greater if you choose extra-virgin olive oil, meaning the oil is less processed and contains more heart-healthy antioxidants. But keep in mind that "light" olive oils are usually more processed than extra-virgin or virgin olive oils and are lighter in color, not fat or calories.
5. Foods with added plant sterols or stanols
Foods are now available that have been fortified with sterols or stanols — substances found in plants that help block the absorption of cholesterol.
Margarines, orange juice and yogurt drinks with added plant sterols can help reduce LDL cholesterol by more than 10 percent. The amount of daily plant sterols needed for results is at least 2 grams — which equals about two 8-ounce (237-milliliter) servings of plant sterol-fortified orange juice a day.
Plant sterols or stanols in fortified foods don't appear to affect levels of triglycerides or of high-density lipoprotein (HDL), the "good" cholesterol.
Other changes to your diet
For any of these foods to provide their benefit, you need to make other changes to your diet and lifestyle.
Cut back on the cholesterol and total fat — especially saturated and trans fats — that you eat. Saturated fats, like those in meat, full-fat dairy products and some oils, raise your total cholesterol. Trans fats, which are sometimes found in margarines and store-bought cookies, crackers and cakes, are particularly bad for your cholesterol levels. Trans fats raise low-density lipoprotein (LDL), the "bad" cholesterol, and lower high-density lipoprotein (HDL), the "good" cholesterol.

There is more I hope to have placed all the pieces in place and have you on your way to good health soon, I will write up all the workout and exercise eliments before too long and we will be doing opur thing together.    The way I see it High Blood Pressure does not have a chance.   Love you people and I certainly love myself and will not go out with out purpose and a good fight.

Battling High Blood Pressure (one man's journey) Part 3

This is Part # 3 with your BMI Charts and other things that will give you some sort of a start : I promise that I will be more forth coming with the program for weight loss and proper nutrition with the next few days. But please remember that this program is an aggressive approach to High Blood Pressure control and possible elimination.

4.      It is important to know and maintain a good BMI or body mass index; Body mass index: A key index for relating a person's body weight to their height. The body mass index (BMI) is a person's weight in kilograms (kg) divided by their height in meters (m) squared.   The best BMI to maintain is should be between   18.5 - 24.9.     The rule of thumb according to WebMD.     Here is a chart for you to take a look at and it may give you some prospective and you look for your particular BMI.

A person with a BMI of 25-29.9 is considered to be overweight. A BMI over 30 is considered obese. A BMI of 40 or above indicates that a person is morbidly obese. This can increases a person's risk of death from any cause by 50% to 150%.

5.      One more thing to remember while you are on this journey to good health and fighting the disease of High Blood Pressure, small things like exercise or good activity is paramount for proper blood circulation and oxygen flow. This helps to make proper brain function and helps to defuse stress which brings us to the next point.

6.      It is absolutely necessary to grab a hold of the stress in your life one way is to get the proper amount of sleep for great digestion and proper re-growth for cell replacement.    Growth hormones kick in when we are in deep sleep.

So grabbing on to the right amount of sleep is a must in getting a hold of your health, when it comes to High Blood Pressure.

Please note that there is more to this piece as the days and weeks as I continue with this battle.           I will be giving you a blow by blow update; of my struggles and my wins as I conquer the battle with High Blood Pressure and I will be giving some before and after pictures that will also show you the progress reports.   This is something that I believe that will help not only me but others like me who may have questions and don’t know how to formulate them so that they can be asked and get the answers for you.   There will be charts and also alternatives to my method and reasons why I chose one way over another, plus the effects that one can expect from diet, exercise, and more.

 PLEASE NOTE!
Now although most of this information you may be able to find on most internet sights the combination and approach is one that I am designing and using for me in the tackling of my own problem and should be look at with caution, and checked out with a physician or primary care Doctor; this maybe too aggressive of an approach for some people.
So till next time here this is Guy T Woods SR signing out Lots of love and happiness and good health.

We need to talk

Take a good look at this and when you are done get activated, You are now called to duty to save our youth by any means necessary. So if you think that African American youth are not your responsibility then think again.   Don't be foolish we all live in the same village people and we all have an affect on one another, I love you too people.

Battling High Blood Pressure ( one man's journey) Part 2

Problems with drugs
The current convention of diagnosing blood pressure as "high" beginning at 140/90 has created another set of problems. Most doctors have been taught that once a diagnosis of "high blood pressure" has been made, blood pressure medication is the treatment of choice. As a result, many physicians believe that the current definition of "high" blood pressure is also the same level of blood pressure at which drug treatments are worthwhile. Unfortunately, this is not the case.
In multiple studies conducted by world leaders in high blood pressure research, drug treatments have been found to be surprisingly ineffective. In fact, there is no clear evidence that drug therapy reduces the risk of death in patients with "mild" high blood pressure which is the majority of diagnosed patients! In summarizing the results of one of the largest clinical trials ever conducted performed by the prestigious British Medical Research Council it was reported that for mildly hypertensive patients, "...Active (drug) treatment had no evident effect on the overall cause of mortality...." In a subsequent review of the entire scientific literature, the British Medical Journal concluded that there is "no appreciable benefit to an individual patient from treating (with drugs) a diastolic pressure of less than 100...." What these scientists found was that while drug treatments for mild hypertension may be effective at lowering blood pressure, they were not effective in reducing overall mortality. Put more bluntly, hypertension patients in these studies died at about the same rate whether they took medication or not. These findings reaffirm an important health principle treating the symptoms of disease is not the same thing as causing health.
It also would appear that the dangerous "side effects" of high blood pressure drugs are sufficiently substantial to obliterate any positive effects of reducing mild high blood pressure in this artificial manner. In fact, the side effects of medications are sufficiently toxic that leading medical authorities suggest that medications only become worth the risks when blood pressure becomes "moderately to severely elevated" (160/100 or above). Typical side effects of high blood pressure medications range from mildly unpleasant to lethal. These include fatigue, gastric irritation, nausea, vomiting, diarrhea, dizziness, headache, impotence, depression, and congestive heart failure.
Don’t assume that your doctor is aware of these facts. If you are diagnosed with mild high blood pressure, you likely will be prescribed medication, instructed that it is helpful, and told that you must take it for the rest of your life. But before accepting this potentially dangerous treatment, it may be to your advantage to seek answers to the following questions: "What caused my high blood pressure?" and "Can I remove those causes and reverse this condition?"
Now these are the words of well established Physicians in the their field, who have not only a great educated guess about the use of High Blood Pressure medication but have seen the effects of these drugs out in the field and their application on good unsuspecting patients and also the doctors who have no real clue about the side effects of these drugs once administered to their patients. Both Doctors and patient are unaware of the full length of the side effects that they may even later a patient to go into cardio-arrest or commonly known as heart failure and or death.
In my own case I was placed on High Blood Pressure meds and found out later that I had a case of anxiety, massive headaches all day long and stomach problems, no sex drive and fatigue, The are things I had never in my life ever experience in my life.     I was an athlete and had been strong, with no sign of muscle atrophy but I had become a walking vegetable, depressed and drained of all life and will to live.     I had been diagnosed with having High Blood Pressure for some years now and the Blood Pressure has gone up and down and it had even stabilized for a brief couple of years at one point.   Now at the age of 51 I decided to make a statement, and with all of the gathered information from around the medical and holistic and herbal societies I have decided to make my journey to true health using my very own body as an instrument to measure what is good for me and possibly for you as well.           I am hoping that you would follow me through the dark catacombs

None Medication application to lowering your blood pressure and keeping it under control
