When do good men cry?

When do good men cry? -

When do good men cry? A very interesting question, and the world will never know the answer. You look at the writings before in some sort of amazement, but why? It is pure and simple. God man hold their tears until they are alone and when they see that their tears will not hurt another person (why? Because he is good and cares for others more than he cares for himself) the whole thing is real simple as I have said, you may never even know or understand why he is even a good man. His code for life is higher than any other, and he is so very critical about what he does and how he does it that the world think of him and a little off beat, kind of strange and sometimes obsessed with truth and right and victory and success and all living things. He is a man driven to complete this grand calling to make things better somehow, he looks at his life as something to have great purpose, he builds you up not break you down, he invest into you and knows he should not look for a return; that is a pressure you do not need. He stands as and honor to know him, he does believe and walks in that belief, he takes no short cuts in doing things, he knows that life is fragile and makes the very best of every minute. He knows how to really love from the heart and spares no energy to show it, he is always looking in the mirror to find some spot or blemish to correct his mistakes. He moves swiftly and does not hesitate to help another person when in harm of lacking health. He speaks to His God for proper direction, and weather he gets answer or not he is a mover and a shaker in the life he lives, he is devoted to his craft (loving people no matter who) Now he may not agree with your life style but you would never know and you would not feel uncomfortable around him (he comforts you not condemns you) His heart is gentle even though you may feel his stern focus to the cause. But with all that has been said about him to raise him in exultation, he is humble not to applaud but quietly good his way. But yet he does cry! And he cries for mankind but inside, yes a good man cries!

The Big chill

Awoke to find my dream was not real …
and then to find only fragments left of last night's treasured memory …
lingering there in my mind.
I picked a rose …
the thorns pricked my finger, blood arose and yet I was glad to be alive;
I saw the sunrise then watched it to the point when it hurt my eyes …
I was yet still alive.
I walked today it could have been for awhile…
I think it was just a couple, few miles,
my bones ache and my shoes got torn but today I didn't cry!
My life was taken …
but at least I didn't die.
If memory serves me right …
things will happen that's the beauty of being alive…
but still life goes on, so tomorrow once again I will try;
hopes and dreams may be written in yet again someone else eyes.
Don't be surprised -
the big chill comes and in the spring the dead comes alive.

This Father's Love

Father’s love their daughters too

It is with great pride that I say I love my little darling girls; even now they are not little anymore, but women.   In my heart they will always be my little dears,  I have not always been the best person that I know, as a matter of fact I could have been a better father in some ways.  And as I look back there are some things that all fathers wish they could have changed, and as your daughters choose their life mate; I think that we fathers, wish there was a law that gave us the right to choose the best man for our loving daughters ( I am working on that one J).

Now please let me say that I am the one to judge me, and I do so harsh enough; some may say that I do it more harshly than I should.   I do not look to you for approval or disapproval; my daughters are the ones whose thoughts matter only, but I have invited you to this arena not for you to speak, but to listen.    I employ some latitude to voice this opinion of myself and shed light on my love for my daughters.    We, are truly fathers because deep within we would love to have given all the best to our little girls, and if given the opportunity, they would never be wrong and the world is ( I know that I speak as a person who needs therapy) but we know that we sometimes have to tell them no; but it so hard for us and good fathers find some way to do it.    I am so sorry of the things that I could have done better and missed the opportunity.   And girls I failed you because I was not able to give you everything that my heart desired.  Forgive me!

Now let you wondering eyes rest, because I speak not to the Handsome boys or young men that I also have; but to my beautiful girls and I now say that your brothers I have you in mind also but this is the day gage to your sisters, Dad has not forgotten you.

 Daddy loves you (my girls) and wishes the world to know; and so here goes “I LOVE YOU”!    You are so special to me and if I could hug you each day and all day, I would! But I must let you try your wings and fly, as all fathers should.   But if you have never seem Daddy cry before,  then feel these words and know each day, that I can’t fight for you, or each hour that I can not hold your hand when you cross the busy highway of life and each time a tear falls from your eye and I can’t catch it before it drops.  I shed a tear and believe you me your Daddy cares and cries for you.

So when the world gets a little cold remember that you Father’s heart is warm and my arms ache to hold you and protect you, because no matter what anyone says, this old man loves you.   My dears I do love you and if you ever feel no other does, this Daddy loves you and you will always be my little Girls.

Daddy loves you,
Guy T Woods Sr

I hope that his poem, will stand through the test of time, everyday expressing my love for my daughters and for other fathers' love to their daughters for years to come.

Letter of this father’s Love

Get that cursed light out my eyes!
So that I may see, you all and tell this tale,
Of how, that I!
Stand here in love with my daughters both,
And only care that there eyes behold me!
As their father in good stead and in a precious way.
My walk is only for them and not for you;
If I fail them, then I fail me,
Then on this earth, I am finished, I am through!

Daughters, I will toil this life God has given and hold your faces high,
As the method to my madness, and forever do try,
Sleep my children; Daddy has gone to be back in just a little while,
I learn my best, to find my self approved;
But to none, other than my darling dears,
It is with you, that make me merry,
And you that make me care!
And I have no other desire but to you my two darlings fair,
This note is all about how much I really care!

So if I die within the night and before tomorrow’s light,
I hope that this would be,
An enlightening epigrammatic pause, to shed some light,
That while, your father lived his life, each breath did bear your name!
So now I hope you go your merry way, and also love your children well,
And say to them even though my father, whom I really did not know,
Had worn his heart on the outside his chest,
And shouted to the world he knew;
My Daughters, - - - I love them well!

The American Fighting Man (If You care Read)

The American Fighting Man (do you even love him?)

WOW this was a day and it all unfolded in a matter of minutes when I read the comments on a post, then I had to re-post it and then add a little bit of my own guidance of thought to it.
 I was floored to know that the mind of the average person is heartless and not very bright if I may add sadly.  Now I may not be fair to some people in saying this but please hear me out, I served in the Auxiliary Air Force (the civil Air Patrol all the way through high School) then I enlisted in the US Navy (enlisted) Then I went to the Officers Candidate in the US Army, then I still went to the US National Guard, I was a very dedicated and loyal military man who is proud of my time serving in this country.            I may have had questions on what I did, but if you don't know what it means to fight for a greater cause or to follow orders then you have to be excused at this time from this discussion right now.
 This is a grown up conversation, my question is - should the man be condemned because he had followed orders even when he might have a question on the reasons of those orders?  Actually the answer of that could be debated for years and we still end up with two sides and no winners.      But when a man comes home from that kind of turmoil in his life, should he be welcomed home along with his friends who he served with and be welcomed with loving open arms?         Please be careful with your answer to that question you may have a family member who is serving and think that it has not touched you personally, so your answer should be well thought out and not careless; but I think that he should be given a feast and a heroes welcome and his friends that served with him also.
Sad thing  we have not done that in this country for all of our sons and daughters and brothers and uncles and nephews and nieces and mothers who have served in the military even if they have seen battle of not. We have rejected the man and women of the military, if we reject the war that they participated in; and that my friend is the worst wrong that there could ever be.
     I want those who read this post to stand up and spread this because what I am saying is the right and the thing to do.  Open your arms and fight for our Military men no matter if they did not even set foot in a war zone.  Just  because to serve is to change your way of thinking and life as you known it to be and go through some of the most life changing things just to be able to serve this country and also no one knows when your time will come as a soldier; at home or abroad your life is not your own and you do as you are told and unless you served you do not even know how to compare the life of a soldier with any other.
Re-Post this for me - Re-Post this because you are thankful for the comfort you enjoy - but please RE-POST because you have a heart for humans who have large shoulders like the American Fighting Man and all those who serve.

Today is the now time to do things

So you are putting off doing something that you should or not doing your best for the people you say you love then, absorb this. If you need to even just love you then today is that day and because if the right reason why.

I just Could

I could have loved you more!
I could have done things a little better,
Come home and be more joyful, and a kiss of passion, a soft touch so sinful,
Let’s not wait, until you are gone, - - - the time is now!
The moment waits for no one,
To strike the match and then wait for the fire is not living,
But to have the candles lit and make the flames go higher, burn brighter;
I could consider this.

The chair sits there and tells no lies, - - - it does not speak,
And when you sit in it, to you it comes alive, it hugs you,
And tells you stories, something like a la la-by, you listen all too well and it caresses your mind, you may either sleep, Think, or read, he did its best,
No regrets!
No not I, - - - I just could have held you that way too,
Whenever you reached for me!
I could do and do and do,
So let me hold the light and dim it if it becomes too bright, maybe brush the tears from your eye, - - - I just could,

I just could be all that and more,
Be there to see you through a bad day, chase the clouds and be the sunshine in some sweet way;
The way I see it I have a choice to be or not to be,
And with just half a chance I can be, if given just the chance.
Time goes and never responds to your beckon call,
So use it well I have heard it said, now that we are both here right here and now,
I will no longer say I just could,
Or would or will, I just do and do and do, - - -forget I just could that is no good.

More Than just Words: Listening the first part of love

More Than just Words: Listening the first part of love: Listening the first part of love There are times that I have been look at as a person with great compassion, love and understandin...

Listening the first part of love

Listening the first part of love

There are times that I have been look at as a person with great compassion, love and understanding from all walks of life both men and women, and I have had to sit back and think on what has just been said about me.       I have had the falls that pride walks before, and today I make sure that my steps are carefully thought out, but I am not perfect (I know that is silly of me to say lol J) But really this is how I have to carry myself or I will fall trap to that bad devise pride and fall again as do other men of power and great likeability.                       To get back to what want to convey to you, the things that I have found which makes me appealing to others is not smoke and mirrors or tricks; it is real as the sun in the sky.

The thing that I had to learn was very hard but not always experiencing the hurt and pain all by myself as some people do.  We can look at the old saying that experience being the greatest teacher, and find the truth in it; but the coiner of that famous saying or phrase left out one important thing, that is the last part of that saying which makes it complete.                 It goes like this and I quote myself, “Experience is the best teacher, “But”! you don’t have to experience it on your own, use the experiences of others and also the wisdom of those who have experienced life’s tragedies as teachers of things to be experienced”.  Now you will find that I try not to quote others, not to mean that I have not learned from others and their experiences, but I would prefer to place things in the way that I understand them, maybe someone can relate to my words as well, I do believe that we all can become the great teachers of experience’s voice and help to guide one another have a more meaningful life.

Now to tell you about one thing that I have learned in life and that is a small thing about love, it can make the difference in how people look at you, with respect or with contempt.       How? It is very simple; the way we treat one another can make one respect us or even see us as beautiful or ugly.            I am not in any way an ugly man (my opinion) but have had struggled with acceptance in groups such as with men and not so much with women, but I have found that being around women I have learned empathy in a big way.      I call it “learning how to listen” (not solve problems as most people think, but just listen, hear the other person and say yes I understand!) It is a learned skill, an Art if you will something to be desired for all people and sex.        I like it, it is now part of me but I have also found that it is only a part of the big picture of the act of “Love”, and cannot be rushed and it takes time to acquire the Art; Love is huge, and we all are made with love and of love and to be loved; we have the great potential to become love, but we first have to listen.    We all can be called beautiful because of love but it is a process that starts with listening with a loving heart.            Please go and experience Love, in the hurt it can bring, in the joy, the passion that we can find in it and all the of the ins and outs of love but do start with becoming a good listener, the key is to listen with your heart not your mind.          Funny thing is that we will find out that God our creator listens to our hearts, not our minds or even our actions, it is from the heart that wickedness comes and becomes an action, and it is also from the heart comes true Love and compassion and Joy which also becomes our actions as well.             I believe that if we can cure the heart of the wicked things, then we will see the truth of the love that we are made in and the love that can be attained which lays dormant in the dept of our hearts, it is a gene that we all are born with. Please read The Proverbs of the Bible and listen with the heart you will be guided to learn from David and Solomon great Kings of Israel.

Here is a poem as a gift to enjoy and pass along to someone you Love.
“I was made to love you”!

I was made to Love you,
Made and fashioned in the great Image of Love - - - (God)!
Made to look at you as a perfect and most beautiful act of “Love”,
You! - - - also created because of “love” and to be loved!
I have fallen into that “love” which explains me and just who I am;
I was defiantly made to “Love” you!
I know that now, - - - but did not while in my youth,
My purpose has come full circle, to end up Loving you, - - -
Just the “Truth”!

I thought that in loving you,
I would not be free!
Ha, - - -
Loving you is Liberating!
I now know how the Eagles feel on currents of hot air,
It is the hot breath of “God” that keeps them there, - - - It is His design,
Creator of mankind!
And when I love like the way God has taught me to,
I find that I am propelled, slingshot into a world outside myself, - - -and I am free,

And the world seeks to touch me, they want to know me?
To know me? - - - the world wants to hold me? - - -
And it calls me beautiful? - - - it calls me heart felt,
It calls me “Love”, sweet;
These are words I never heard before describing (me)! Words I have been fighting for to hear said;
My “War” is now over, I have won my battle to find freedom,
I may not be liked by everyone (jealousy) but - - - I am respected!
I am not over prideful, but I am now aware of my purpose,
I can now do what comes naturally to me,
Because I found worth! - - -
“I was made to Love you”!

Takinf Baby Steps in the New year

Baby steps to a desired existence.

            It can be real puzzling to look forward and try to tell what would be acceptable in each society tomorrow, but we can see what it was like and then we can graph our progress if any?                I do think that the question if asked would be answered differently by the same people but at different times every time it is asked. One can wonder and maybe if we stay on the task of wondering what is the difference in the mind set and the hearts of people today and yesterday when you look at a child who is of mixed cultures or races.  Do we still look at them as wrong or keep that eerie look in your eye but say the politically correct thing? Or are they really the wave of the future and widely accepted and now ingrained into our social net work?    Things to ponder I think but I can only say that we have so much to learn and over come as a human race, yes there are still the hidden relics of racism and inequality.    I am a man may I say more? Should I have to say more and does it really matter that I am mixed and have as much a deep white heritage as I do black, I am a fairly intelligent man, I know some Spanish, French, and some words in other languages as well, I listen to the classical music, as well as Jazz, Gospel, Country Western, Rockabilly Blues, and some regular Blues, I know of Rap and the history of it.    There are things I am educated in such as combustion automotive mechanic, electrical and electronic repair; I had training in health and nutrition and Personal Training, I am for the most part a Rogue Scholar but have acquired certificates and course completions from a collage or two.      I would like to take the time to plead with you to open the way for the human race, to put it as we would say politically correct; for people of all races and mixtures.   But once again it will mean that we keep on taking those baby steps, which we have so long so forgotten to continue taking after all these years.    It is going to hurt like before but it will be good for all of us I know I am still taking baby steps in my own life to accept others who are not like me.

Here is one of my gifts a Poem I had Published just lately.

THE OPEN BOOK
By Guy T Woods Sr
A New Years Resolution

Today like any other day I opened my books of life and started to read,
I read each and every word,
And then I read it all aloud, then quietly I just read to myself;
I heard the words of great men sing,
Their echoes, they are teaching me life's amazing things,
And when I used them on myself I found it bitter in my heart,
But good to see it made such a change me!
So now I see the lesson learned,
To change the man it may seem at first like a living hell,
The bitterness of the truth about the real you!
The hard cold fact of just what you have to do;
But there will be growth I am sure of that!
In time it will somehow show then you will be well,
And there is proof take a good look at me,
I am not the man I use to be, I have since then grown,
Now what do you see?
I think I have turned into a prince.
I promise you my friends, this year I will do better than that,
I will become real love; God will make sure of that!
So in this year please follow through,
Complete all the things you set out to do,
The first step is hard, and there will be bumps,
Suck it up these things are good for you.

January 2, 2012 The second day in a New Year
